State Library of Victoria's Collection & Resources Development Policy

Close up of reading desks, chairs and a pile of books in the La Trobe Reading RoomThe Collection & Resources Development Policy (CRDP) sets out the principles and guidelines that provide the foundation for developing the State Collection.

This policy provides an overview of each of the Library’s eight main collections - Arts, Australian History & Literature, Australian Manuscripts, Genealogy, Newspapers, Pictures, Rare Printed and Redmond Barry - and describes collecting strengths, subject areas and sub-collections.
