Known issues

The Library is working on resolving a number of technical bugs and issues relating to our new-style Search. This is a list of the issues we are aware of and working to fix as soon as possible.

If you are experiencing any technical problems with our new-style search, please check your issue is not already on this list, then let us know by submitting a Technical Problem Report form.

These are the known technical issues:

  • Two-part last names - Sign in problem
    If you have a two-part last name or a hyphenated last name, you currently can't sign in using our new-style Search. Please use the Technical Problem Report form to request assistance.

  • Blank page after sending an email
    After sending an email, a blank page will appear however the email has been sent successfully.

  • HTML code appearing in body of email alerts
    Users who set up email alerts to advise them of updates to their saved search will notice there is some HTML code appearing in their emails.

  • RSS feeds for searches are titled 'Items from Primo'
    All RSS feeds for saved searches are titled 'Items from Primo'. Users should rename the feeds to avoid confusion.

  • Pushing items to Delicious
    This functionality is not currently working.

  • Sending emails from eShelf using Internet Explorer
    Emails sent from eShelf have a JavaScript error which is seen when the email is opened within an email client. The email does not contain details of the item sent.

  • Adding notes to items in eShelf using Internet Explorer
    This functionality is not currently working.

  • Thumbnail images on Item Details page
    The thumbnails are not currently hotlinked to the larger images. Users should click the green 'View Online' link instead.
